Looking to the Future - mine will change majorly when my Partner (who has Alzheimer's Disease) finally enters a permanent Residential Care Home.

My Politics - probably Centre. I am a Countryman at Heart - Cities are for visits, although I lived all over London in my Youth.
A Caring, Intellectual and Practical Gentleman (Widower - sadly, no Children I know of), who has had enough knocks (Physical and Emotional).
I have travelled much of the world, West Coast USA to Tasmania, often on Business.
Healthwise - I may have 12 more years 'under the hood', but I'd like to get some Body Repairs done - currently paying for the 'Fun' of the Past (Backpacking, Caving, Rugby). Slight hearing problem from working in Cotton Mills (noisiest places on Earth) and many years of Shooting.
Enjoy Good Music - used to Perform in (and Run) an Amateur Operatic Society, although I enjoy Blues, Classical, Jazz and C&W as well.
I was Raised on a small Farm by an Accountant and former Professional Boxer) Father and a (former Professional Opera Singer) Caring Mother. Pursued Academia and Employment in Science, Technology and Engineering; loved Fly-Fishing ... if I could catch the flies. I was keen on Bridge, from School Days. An Entrepreneur - I had the Contract to Replace all the broken School windows.
I used to go Shooting but now ceased. A keen Reader, and started Writing before my 2nd Wife died, re-started whilst Caring for my Partner (see above).
Experienced in practical matters, but DIY is essential, rather than a love. Creative Gardening has been an interest. I believe Life is what you make it. Used to play (Contract) Bridge, now without a Partner. Tactile, not phased by Public Demonstration of Affection.
The Mind is Willing, but the Body is a bit Worn - please be gentle with me.

Surgery has limited my Agility - like a 'Used Car'. I'm good for a few more miles/years. Loath Fraudsters, Scammers, cannot abide people who take advantage of Vulnerable Persons or are Cruel to Animals.
Bible-Thumpers, Devout Vegetarians/Vegans - just ignore me; I'm comfortable with my attitude to Religions and as I was raised on a Farm, I know the Realities of Life and getting my own Food. My Politics started Conservative, then became more Liberal, now A-Political - I actually stood as an Independent in Borough Elections.
My Idea of Heaven - to wake up beside the (tactile) lady I love and Care for (thank goodness I no longer need my CPAP Mask).
P.S. GP has advised that I might make the Family Lifeline, so I could be around until age 95. Dreadful Thought !
