Hi I'm a nice person who loves life! I have great enthusiasm for doing things but also like to relax and read or listen to music (every day)! One of my favourite activities is a long walk starting with coffee, a break for lunch, finishing with tea and cake. You might think the walking is incidental to the eating! You'd be wrong! I like to walk. Inspired by a wonderful book I read recently I was planning a trip to the Cairngorms (pre-Covid) for a spot of more strenuous exercise. It's quite hilly where I live but... I go to the theatre and cinema, I meet up with friends for dinner, walks, laughs. I visit gardens for pleasure and inspiration, I love visiting historic houses, art exhibitions and city breaks. I like to travel when I can. I'm open to trying new things as long as it doesn't involve jumping off or out of high things. I'm told I'm lively and interesting to talk to, I'm easy going, fairly unflappable and like to laugh. I have a lot of energy despite the advancing years! I don't want to settle into middle age, I see no reason why I shouldn't continue to get as much enjoyment from life as I can.

I don't want to be prescriptive about this. I'd like to meet someone who shares similar interests, which makes sense doesn't it? Other things like honesty and reliability are a must but who is ever going to want to meet a dishonest unreliable person? A long term relationship would be ideal but new friends would be lovely too.
